Jameson McCann is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Guilford Technical Community College. He received his doctorate from the Department of Biology at Saint Louis University, examining structural changes in the toxin produced by V. cholerae under the mentorship of Dr. William D. Picking. Dr. McCann completed two post doctoral fellowships at the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine studying vesicular trafficking in S. cerevisiae under the direction of Dr. Hui-Ling Chiang and gap junction communication in type II alveolar cells under the direction of Dr. Eugene Rannels. He is currently serving as the Coordinator of Biotechnology at Guilford Technical Community College where he teaches Biotechnology, Cell Biology, and Microbiology.
