Mr. Szafranski has 30 years of technical product development experience with major international corporations such as Eastman Kodak and CIBA-Geigy, as well as start-up operations. He was Director of Engineering for Konica Manufacturing, a world-wide producer of sensitized photographic paper. His experience also includes new product marketing and sales management in the industrial and consumer markets. In this capacity, his work included market identification and evaluation, structuring marketing plans and direction of sales forces.
His most recent efforts are in the area of university Technology Transfer and commercialization. As Director of Outreach and Technology Transfer for North Carolina A & T State University, Wayne helps develop the University’s IP portfolio, identifies and evaluates promising breakthrough technologies, negotiates licensing opportunities and directs spin-out company formation. He also is responsible for establishing research relationships between the University and private sector companies.
Mr. Szafranski holds BS and MS degrees in chemistry from Clarkson University and a certificate in Photographic Engineering.
