Juan Wang is a research associate at NSF-ERC for Revolutionizing Metallic Biomaterials at North Carolina A&T State University in the US and a Ph. D. candidate at Southwest Jiaotong University in China. Since Fall of 2012, Ms. Wang has been joined in NSF ERC-RMB under the mentorship of Dr. YeoHeung Yun, Associate Professor of Bioengineering.

Ms. Wang is executing research on the biodegradation and biocompatibility of magnesium alloys for vascular stent applications. The on-going research activities include the behavior and mechanism of biodegradable alloys by dynamic vascular bioreactor and electrochemical technologies. Additionally, she also studies surface modification of magnesium based alloys for improving controllable biodegradation, good blood and tissue compatibility in vitro, ex-vivo and in vivo.
